Lose your knack for losing things
The AirTag is an incredibly easy way to keep track of your belongings. Attach one to your keys, slip another into your bag, and just like that, they appear on your radar in the Find My app, where you can also track your Apple devices and share your location with friends and family.

“Ping it. Find it.
When you have an AirTag attached to your wallet, misplacing something isn’t a big deal. You can go to the Items tab in the Find My app and play a sound on the built-in speaker, or say, ‘Hey Siri, find my wallet.’ If it’s nearby—like under the couch or in the next room—just follow the sound, and your search will be over.”

Apple AirTag 4-pack
Get help from millions of friends.
When you leave something behind, like at the beach or the gym, Find My network—millions of iPhones, iPads, and Mac devices worldwide—helps track your AirTag. It’s designed to protect your privacy every step of the way.
How does it work?
Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud, allowing you to see it on the map in the Find My app. The entire process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. Plus, it’s efficient, so there’s no need to worry about battery life or data usage.
The lost mode searches for items. It’s that simple. Like your other Apple devices, the AirTag can be put into lost mode. Then, when it is detected by a device on the network, you will automatically receive a notification. You can also set it up so that anyone with an NFC-capable smartphone can tap your AirTag and access your contact information — this is the same technology that allows people to make payments through their phones.
Privacy is Built-In.
Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history are never stored on the AirTag. The devices that relay your AirTag’s location remain anonymous, and the location data is encrypted at every step. Therefore, Apple also does not know the location of your AirTag or the identity of the device that helps find it.
AirTag is Designed to Discourage Unwanted Tracking.
If someone else’s AirTag enters your belongings, your iPhone will sense that it is traveling with you and will send you an alert. After a while, if you still haven’t found it, the AirTag will start playing a sound to let you know it’s there.
Rest assured, if you are with a friend who has an AirTag, or in a train full of people with AirTags, don’t worry. These alerts are triggered only when an AirTag is separated from its owner.
